AHPic_B&WAmber’s career as an artist and designer began in her youth. By age 20 she was a productive self-taught artist working for several years painting and exhibiting botanical illustrations at numerous shows and galleries along the east coast.

Amber received a BFA from Johnson State College and broadened her artistic endeavors by studying as an assistant to Greenwich, Connecticut’s premier decorative painter.

Amber returned to Vermont and started Amber Hodgins Design in 2001.  By incorporating interior design with her fine-arts background Amber specialized in providing her signature decorative style to homeowners.

A graduate degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the Art Institute of Vancouver followed and her business expanded to include all aspects of interior design. Her immersion into modern architecture on the west coast in combination with traditional décor roots facilitate a unique and versatile aesthetic sense.

Amber applies her broad professional experience, technical knowledge and innate understanding of art and design to guide clients through the design process, creating livable, functional and beautiful interiors.
